Jackson Martin

News from Jackson Martin:

I just returned from Key West, FL after installing my site-specific sculpture for Sculpture Key West 2010. With the help of two amazing ETSU students, Cody Necessary and Evan Townsend, we were able to construct The Redemptive Quality of Life. To view the sculpture, go to http://www.jacksonmartin.com/RQL.php You can also access the Audio Tour and listen to a short, pre-recorded description of the sculpture by calling 305-434-8320 and entering artist #1.

Fellow colleague Travis Graves and I will be installing a site-specific installation titled Time and Disregard in the InSpace Gallery at the Urban Institute for Contemporary Arts in Grand Rapids, MI. The show opens February 5th and runs through March 5th. For further details, view the attached show card and visit, http://www.uica.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=page.viewpage&pageid=688

I will also be involved in an exhibition that focuses on sustainability and the environment, titled The Earth is Flat and Other Truths about the Environment at the Park School in Baltimore, MD. The show opens February 11 and runs through March 31. My sculpture will be installed on the campus pond. For more information visit, http://www.parkschool.net/arts/
